Sher.pa (verb) To serve as a guide for another

Sherpa Tenzing Norgay alongwith Edmund Hillary were the first persons to climb Mt. Everest on 29th May, 1953. Apa Sherpa, another amazing Sherpa, has summited Mt. Everest a record 21 times!

College Sherpa derives inspiration from the Sherpas who guide mountaineers through the treacherous Himalayas. Like Sherpas we at College Sherpa help students through the difficult terrain of college selection and applications to access the best possible education overseas.

 College Sherpa is a set of diverse ideas blended to create a simple solution:

• The unrealistic competition for limited quality colleges is disheartening the aspiring student across India
• A much better quality overseas education is possible with some financial aid and education loans, if necessary
• While quality education institutions are penetrating deeper, good counselling is available to only a few students in limited cities
• Technology (like video conferencing) and better data connectivity provide an opportunity to reach and counsel students at their convenience
• A college database made especially for the Indian student alongwith a tracker to record and track progress can add tremendous depth to the counselling process 

One day we sat together and sketched out the basics on how to translate these thoughts online. We added the benefits of a college database and a progress tracker with alerts to ensure nothing is missed by the student. All while retaining the crucial personal commitment of a Counsellor.
